I like to consider myself a Colorado Import. Hailing from Maryland, I can’t really be considered a native…but I sure feel like one. Growing up on the East Coast, I watched my father buy, sell, rent, restore & tear down homes. Every summer, I would climb up into that big truck; along with a pad of paper and my colored pencils. I would take notes and draw how I imagined the house should look. For the most part, these homes were bright purple square boxes, complete with a huge pink triangle roof and a giant yellow sun. Nonetheless, my dad encouraged that I really had an eye for design! I believe that this is where the birth of my love for everything home related was born.
I knew from that point on that it was the path I was meant to take. With a minor in Interior Design, a few real estate classes and a degree in Business Finance later…I ended up with a job…in energy. Not exactly the elite interior design or real estate career I had envisioned as a little one. The real world was scary!! I graduated college during a complete economic downturn, being a new entrepreneur just wasn’t in the cards for me. This is how I ended up being an underpaid and overworked analyst for a Fortune 500 company. A few years of crunching numbers in our bullpen later, I quit. At the time, this wasn’t exactly a chart topper on the list of smart decisions I have made in my life but, I needed something more. So this is the part of my story where I packed up everything I could fit in my car, along with my dog…and off we went to Colorado. Which is exactly how I stumbled into Jason & his wife Sara. They quickly become my Denver family & Jason offered me a position at his brokerage. I became licensed and started tagging along wherever Jason would go. Sewer Scope appointment? Sure! I jumped at the chance to go watch the less than exciting plumbing snake footage. Open House on a Saturday? Yes, Please!! I soaked up as much knowledge as possible…and I still love learning new things every day!
When I am not working, you can find me enjoying the Pearl Street Farmers Market after church, volunteering with my Junior League committee, teaching yoga or enjoying the outdoors with my fiance, Tyler & our sweet furry friends, Marlee & Baker. I love that my job affords me the ability to create a schedule around my love for work & my passion for life.
I believe in giving back & the golden rule. Everything we do as humans ultimately derives from this. Business & relationships can’t thrive with a lackluster attitude! I wake up every day with a smile on my face, and you can count on that drive anytime you see me.
Oh and, pardon my bias but after working together so closely, I believe Jason & I make a great team. If you are looking for brokers who will make you feel like family as well, then look no further!
